Ensemble Practice and Collective Creativity

In this practical workshop for directors, Glenn Tillin of The Quarter Too Ensemble (UK) will introduce you to his approach to developing ensemble work, touching on elements of collective responsibility and creativity at the center of his practice. Group dynamic awareness and coordination will be explored through play and exercise and the workshop will give an opportunity to experience some of the creative devising techniques used by Quarter Too Ensemble with particular reference Wojtek: The Happy Warrior, playing at Phyu.

The Workshop is aimed at directors interested in developing ensemble practice and will be practical and active, please come in clothes you can move in and be prepared to play.

This workshop is free for participants, but space is limited and advance registration is required below. Because of the limited space, please do not sign up unless you are certain you will be able to attend.

After the workshop participants are invited to see Physical Festival shows Wojtek: The Happy Warrior (7pm) and Anatomy of Fear (9pm) at a discounted rate of $10 per show. Confirmed workshop registrants will be provided information on how to access the discounted rate.
